Founded in April 2001, Northfield Checkmates participate in the Wolverhampton Summer League.
Since 2006/7, they also compete in the Wolverhampton & District Chess League.
For the 2006/7 season, their Winter League "Home" fixtures will be played at the venue of St George's Chess Club.
