Report by Andrew Davies
For the second time this season, Newcastle's venue played host to the counties B team.
This time, they faced Shropshire.
As with the other matches, Traci included younger players on the team so that they could gain experience from playing events like this.
The other team captain had been told that this would happen, so kindly included an equal number of youngsters in the visiting team.
The young players on both sides seemed to enjoy the match.
Perhaps it was appropriate that both teams gained an equal number of points from their younger participants.
Adam's default win earned him a game against me, played under the same conditions.
As for the match as a whole, Shropshire started a player short, but went into an early 2 point lead, and held on to it right to the end.
Shropshire won 7 - 5.
Among the players who reported that they had good games were both Paul Clapham and James Rothwell.
A survey is currently being taken to help decide what to do with the team next season.
Well done, and thank you, to all involved!

Report by Andrew Davies
Staffordshire B's second match took them to Newcastle-Under-Lyme's amiable venue.
They faced a team from Worcestershire.
I went as a spectator, but was invited to fill the empty seat when one of the players could not make it.
Apart from me, the bottom boards of both teams were mainly youngsters, and to their credit, 4½ of our teams 6 points came from the bottom boards.
Well done to all involved!

Report by Andrew Davies
As County Secretary, having an Inter-County match where 2 Staffordshire teams were playing each other, was a fixture I just couldn't miss, and it didn't disappoint.
In its very first game, the U100 B team paid a trip to the south end of the county to play last year's national runners up "Staffordshire A" at Brewood.
Half of the visiting 12 player team were juniors, and almost everyone seemed to enjoy the experience.
Despite being outgraded, the team returned home with a creditable score of 4½ - 7½.
Many of the games were played through again, with both players discussing what happened - lucky escapes, and missed opportunities.
Paul Guest in particular, was very complimentary about his opponent, saying that it was a very close game and could easily have gone either way.
No less than 5 games finished as a draw.
Well done to all involved.
