Staffordshire County Tournaments
Team tournaments
There are 4 team tournaments, all run on a knockout basis.
The first round starts in October, with the final held in May.
Rate of play is all moves in 85 minutes.

Hickman Trophy
This is the club Championship of Staffordshire.
Each team has 6 players, and there is no grading limit.

Jackson Cup
This is for teams of 5 players, with each player graded 140 or under.
|

|
Club of the year trophy
The Club of the year trophy is awarded in June, to the club judged to have done most to help further the interests of chess in Staffordshire.

Gothard Cup
Second only in status to the Hickman, this tournament is for teams of 5 players, with each player graded 160 or under.

Withnall Trophy
This is for teams of 5 players, with each player graded 120 or under.

Player of the year trophy
The Player of the year trophy is awarded in June, to player judged to have done most to help further the interests of chess in Staffordshire.
