Cannock chess club

The club, which closed in 2015, met in Walsall Road, Cannock.

League involvement

Initially named St Mary’s chess club, the club was a founder member of the Cannock & District Chess League in 1999.

Following a change of venue in 2010, the club changed its name to Bridgtown Social chess club and in 2011 became Cannock chess club.

The club competed in the Cannock League each year from 1999 to 2015 and the Wolverhampton League from 1998 to 2003.
